About Solar Shield
Small shop. Obsessive standards.
Solar Shield is owned and operated by Braden Williams in Moody, Alabama. The shop was built on one idea: the details you can't see on a tint job, clean edges, no contamination, no light gaps, are the ones that decide whether it still looks new in ten years.
We install Rogue Window Films because they publish real performance numbers and back the film for life. We'd rather do fewer cars perfectly than more cars fast.
Automotive Window Tinting
Owner installed
Braden does every install himself. The person who quotes your car is the person who tints it.
Controlled environment
Film is laid in a clean, lit bay, not a parking lot. Dust and debris never make it under the film.
Honest recommendations
You'll hear what's legal, what's worth the money and what isn't, before you spend a dollar.

Good to know
Straight answers.
Alabama tint law, cure times and the questions we hear every week.
Alabama requires at least 32% VLT on every side window and the rear window, with no more than 20% reflectivity. That makes 35% the darkest street-legal shade we offer. Windshields can only have non-reflective film above the AS-1 line (roughly the top 6 inches), or a near-clear 70% ceramic across the full glass. Alabama does allow a medical exemption for darker film with a physician's certification.
